这是离谱平常又不平常的一天。太阳依然早早的作文升起,小鸟依然喳喳的匠门弃材唱歌,我也照常起床、离谱洗漱、作文吃早饭。匠门弃材可是离谱泛站群如何提高排名当我穿上西装校服、打上领带、作文站在镜子前时,我知道,不平常的一天开始了。这是我上英国的学校的第一天!

走在上学的路上,我不禁回想自己进入这所学校的“辛酸史”。入校之前,我经历了三道关卡。

第一关是视频面试(校长亲自给我面试呢)!当时,我还在中国,所以只能用电脑视频来面试。为了能够顺利通过这道关,我的妈妈请了中国老师给我辅导,还请了英国老师跟我实践。直到我背完最后一个词汇时,校长的头像赫然印在屏幕前……

“Hello, Robert. Nice to meet you.” “Nice to meet you too, Mr Honey” “OK.Please talk about yourself…” “That is good. Thank you. And why do you want tostudy in our school…”直到我回答完最后一个问题,校长看起来十分满意,他还说欢迎我去他们学校上课呢!就这样,我顺利地通过了第一关!

第二关是笔试评测。这道关相对难些,不仅英语要考,数学、科学也得考!因为我连英语对话都只是马马虎虎,何况考试需要看懂那么多单词呢?只能硬着头皮上阵,好在英国的考试可以带工具,我的“屠龙宝刀”——电子词典一定能帮上我的大忙。BUT!最倒霉的事情发生了,上考场时才发现“屠龙宝刀”竟然忘记带了!当时不仅冷汗吓出来了,尿也差点吓出来了!只能空手“屠龙”了!就这样,数学考试,连蒙带猜,自认为还可以。科学、英语考试,直接傻眼:里面很多英语单词都是专业术语,还要即兴写想法……当监考老师问我:“Howis your test, Robert?”我努力地把嘴角往上扬了扬,说:“That is OK. Thank you.”内心潜台词却是:Extremely bad!最后我带着忧郁的心情离开了那儿……

以为自己没戏了,没想到过几天,妈妈竟然告诉我,学校通知我去上学。如果说前两关是“热身”的话,那么第三关就是“长途跋涉”——为期一个term的英语“魔鬼训练”(现在只是刚刚开始)!在这一期中,我唯一能用的语言就是英语:交流用英语,考试用英语,连吃饭都要用英语!所以我如果要通过这一关,就必须一边学习新单词,补充词汇量,一边努力跟别人交朋友、互相帮助。当然,还有“屠龙宝刀”相助,我相信自己一定能通关!

这个学校是一个温暖有爱的大家庭,同学们很友善、热情。因为学校布局错综复杂,而且上课还参照《哈里•波特》里的上课方式,自己找教室上课,这样一来,你就可以看到一位高年级学生带着新生们去该去的教室。上英语课时,老师还贴心的为我专门做了许多中英互译小卡片,比如:Whenyou said… what did you mean? 你说的……什么意思? Can you say that slowerplease?你能不能说慢一点?等等,来帮助我在这儿的学习。校长大大还亲自在百忙之中问候我,跟我聊天呢!

走在放学回家的路上,回想这一天:三分之一是麻木期,三分之一迷迷糊糊,三分之一总算搞懂了!望着地上厚厚的落叶,想起长沙的秋天,想起长沙的同学们,是不是也秋凉了?是不是也在辛苦的学习呢?我正在英国和你们并肩奋斗呢!

Go to Hydesville Tower School!

This is an ordinary and unordinary day. The sun still rises up early. Birdsstill sing early. I still get up, wash my face and have breakfast early. Butwhen I wear my school uniform, suits with tie, and stand in front of themirror, I suddenly realize that an unordinary day is beginning. This is myfirst day of English school!

On the way to school, I can’t help but recall how I met the entry requirementsof Hydesville Tower School (full of tears and hardship). Before beingadmitted, I have undergone 3 challenges.

The first challenge is video interview. At that time, I was in China, so theinterview went through internet. After some training, I met headmaster on thescreen.

“Hello, Robert. Nice to meet you.” “Nice to meet you too, Mr. Honey” “OK.Please talk about yourself…” “That is good. Thank you. And why do you want tostudy in our school…”It seemed the headmaster was satisfied with me. Finally,he said “welcome to our school.”

The second challenge is academic assessment. It is hard for me. I can manageMath test well. BUT!English and science are nightmares for me! When theteacher asked me:“How is your test, Robert?” I only answered:“That is OK.Thank you.” Then talked to myself:Extremely bad…

Such as it is, I got the third challenge–a long term test. It is justbeginning now! From today on, I must read more English books, remember moreEnglish words, and make more English friends. Because a termly assessment iswaiting for me!

The school day is interesting and exciting so far. A fellow student showed theway for me to classroom. Miss Booth, the English teacher, created some cardshelping me, such as: When you said… what did you mean? Can you say that slowerplease? Mr. Honey, the headmaster, greeted to me: Hello Robert. I feel thatschoolmates are like brothers and sisters, teachers like dad and mum. Thisschool is a big warm family. I like the school.
